Katie Mlinek is a cinematographer from baltimore, maryland.

Working across narrative, documentary, and commercial projects, she is drawn to stories shaped by emotional landscapes and human connection. She has shot films in the largest cities and remotest regions across the world with a keen focus on presence, empathy, and the search for truth.

She was a 2024 Fellow of the International Truth and Beauty Project and selected to represent the US for the 2025 US–China Filmmakers Exchange Event.  Her work has screened at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, New/Next Film Festival, and RiverRun International Film Festival, and has been featured by Kodak Shoot Film, NoBudge and Independent Short Awards, among others. She is the owner of an Aaton ltr7 16mm camera and a feature-sized g&e package.
